      However bizarre this may seem, a Canadian retailer set up shop as a combination florist - hair salon.  This concept has a certain novelty to it that just may be a welcome innovation to both industries in an exercise in cross marketing.  The thinking in part was derived that special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, and such require a trip to both the florist and the salon, so why not combine them.  Very interesting indeed.
